A picture or object is framed so it can be easily displayed for enjoyment and/or decoration.We buy beautiful paintings or prints and leave them in the tube so they won’t be scratched or creased.

So often we have souvenirs, medals, certificates, photographs, etc. that are special to us and we put them away “safely” in an envelope in a drawer or in a cupboard so they won’t be damaged or broken, and so our children or grandchildren will find them and be proud of us when we pass on.

Consider framing these items so they can be seen. Bare walls can make a room feel very stark and cold. Framed pictures and other objects hanging on walls can bring warmth to the room and certainly contribute to turning your house into a home.
